Readers trust us to tell them what is true. This policy sets out the standards we hold ourselves to and what you can expect from A1 Blogs.
Accuracy
We check facts before we publish. We rely on primary sources, official documents, direct interviews and reputable publications, and we attribute information to where it came from. When something cannot be confirmed, we say so clearly.
Sources
We name our sources wherever possible. We grant anonymity only when a source faces a real risk and the information is important and cannot be obtained any other way. We never invent quotes, sources or details.
Independence and fairness
Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners. We give people and organisations criticised in our reporting a fair chance to respond before we publish.
News, analysis and opinion
We keep these apart. News stories report verified facts. Analysis and explainers add context and background. Opinion pieces argue a point of view, appear in our Opinion section and carry the author’s name.
Images and media
We use photos and videos that we own, are licensed to use or clearly credit. We do not alter images in ways that mislead readers.
Updates
News develops. When a story changes after publication, we update it and show the date of the latest update.
How we research our guides
Most of what we publish is practical guidance on money, documents, visas and property, so we start with the official source and link to it in the article. Typical sources include:
- Pakistan: the Federal Board of Revenue, the State Bank of Pakistan, NEPRA, OGRA, PTA, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, NADRA, Central Directorate of National Savings and the Capital Development Authority
- Study and work abroad: official government and embassy websites such as GOV.UK, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the German government’s Make it in Germany portal and the EU’s official travel website, plus the official pages of each scholarship programme
- Established news organisations, for events and figures that official sources do not publish
Every article ends with an About this guide box that names the writer, shows when the article was published and last updated, and lists the sources it links to. Net worth figures in our Rich List are labelled as estimates and name the source behind each figure.
Keeping guides up to date
Tax rates, profit rates, fees and visa rules change often. We review a guide when the official figures it relies on change, update the article and its “last updated” date, and remove or rewrite information that is no longer accurate. Guides are general information, not personal financial, legal, medical or immigration advice, so always confirm the final figure with the relevant authority before you act.
Sponsored content and links
We do not sell coverage. If we ever publish sponsored content or a paid link, it is clearly labelled as sponsored and the link is marked as sponsored for search engines.
Corrections
When we make a factual error, we correct it as quickly as possible and add a note to the story explaining what changed. We do not quietly delete mistakes. To report an error, use our contact page and choose Correction request, or email info@a1blogs.com with the story link and the correction you are suggesting.
Feedback
We welcome feedback from readers, including complaints. Write to us through our contact page.
